Welcome

The Higher Education Alliance of Advocates for Students with Children (HEAASC) is a national membership organization established to support professionals serving student parents.  HEAASC promotes access to higher education for all students with children and encourages them to persist through school and attain a college degree.  Those who successfully complete their education earn higher incomes, better positioning themselves to care for their families. Their success impacts our economy, communities and future generations.

Membership is open to anyone interested in promoting the academic and personal success of student parents. Educators, administrators, legislators, advocates, researchers, social workers, organizers and student parents can all contribute to the work of HEAASC. We are interested in raising awareness to the issues and challenges student parents face in pursuit of their college degree; the need for more support services on college campuses and an increase in federal and state funding that support student parent success.

As the saying goes... a picture is worth a thousand words. Think about the impact these moms have on their children and future generations because they are college graduates!

This is what HEAASC is all about!
